Its now the month of July and its the hottest its been in the longest time. Angie and Jack continue to see each other regularly, and everyone believes they are going steady, but they wont admit it. Jack has dinner with Angie's family and it goes horribly wrong in Angie's mind, but in reality it goes perfectly fine. She keeps fretting that her mother won't accept Jack because he's not going to college in the fall, and working instead. Yet her mother never says anything to dismiss him, but make it clear that she would rather Angie would read books all summer instead of going out with boys all summer long. Angie continues her paranoid ways and always second guesses herself and Jack, and every action they both take. I personally find it weird for her to fret so much, but that's just me.
