After her mother made the final touches on Angie's new dress Jack picked her up and they went to the dance. She danced all night with Jack except for one song with, Tony Becker. Swede tried to cut in by Jack told him to come back later. Angie's feeling of their last date faded, and only the feelings of their first date lingered. They held hands even when they stopped dancing, and Angie felt like she was on top of the world.

They went out to the golf course and sat on the edge of the course, talked, and watched the night's sky. Jack was smoking a cigarette, and he flick it away, and placed his had on top of her's. They leaned into each other, and Angie had her first kiss.
