The Seventeenth Summer by Maureen Daly is about a girl named Angie Morrow in the 1940s. Its about her summer before she goes to college, and how she breaks down her relationship with hotshot Jack. She soon learns that he's more than his high school rep and really starts to open up to him. It starts out as her entering the general store, which is a usually hangout to get a coke with friends, to get some stuff for her dad. She looks over to the booths and sees all he people having a good time, and realizes that she never really fit in like the rest of her peers.
So far i liked this book because of the detail, it describes everything in the room, from the smell to the cracked leather booth seats. But when i first started ready this i was a little confused, when i bought it, it said 2010 copy write on the bind. So when i started reading i was confused by the way they talked and how everything was set up. So when i looked at the copywrite again i realized that i looked at the cover copywrite and not the publish date which was 1942. So i had my doubts but i continued ready anyways.
